Anytime space is a concern (Twittering, etc.) OSMUrl.us can help. Or make easily rememberable links for presentations. Or keep links from breaking in emails and documents because of word-wrapping.

What makes us different?

OSMUrl.us has a large repository of domains and subdomains all 7 characters or less (like d.it.cx) that it rotates through. The result is that we can issue 40+ (and counting!) times as many URLs before we tag a single character more onto yours! Or you can choose a domain that's especially easy to remember for your clients/readers/whatever.

Members can also manage their own links, reusing especially short ones, or throwing them back into the repository for the benefit of others. They also have access to statistics about which links are being visited, by how many people, and when they're being visited.
